2009 Events
Another year has begun and the topic of hoarding continues to gain attention. BERGFELD's is once again approached by several parties from different venues for some of our insight into the topic. Among them is Pink Sneakers, a Florida based production company whose programs have appeared on several networks including VH1, MTV, & ABC. They are currently working on a documentary series tentatively titled "Life Chronicles" which will cover various topics, one of which will be hoarding. BERGFELD's has also been contacted by a group of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism students whose masters project is a multi media website on hoarding in New York City. BERGFELD's worked with them to create an interview and slideshow which can be seen on their website and final project, Hoardhouse.com
November 15, 2009 BERGFELD's led a seminar on hoarding for the 29th annual CNYC Housing Conference. It was held at Baruch College - Newman Vertical Campus, 55 Lexington Ave, NY, NY. See below for more details.

BERGFELD's was honored to be a Gold Sponsor of this year's conference in L.A. The theme of this conference was transitions and how having an understanding of what is happening with someone who has or is experiencing a life transition can give valuable insight into how best to be of service to them.
April 21, 2009 BERGFELD's led a teleclass for NSGCD members titled "Aging in Place". The purpose was to discuss the rising trend of elders choosing to remain in their homes, and to offer fundamentals to the professional organizing community to assess their talents and interests with regard to this very important issue.
