BERGFELD's is proud to be an active member of the following organizations:
NSGCD
selected BERGFELD's to serve on a very distinguished board of NSGCD members
to collaborate in updating the Clutter
Hoarding Scale which is currently in progress. This important
update is scheduled to be completed in 2009.

newsletter. Taught a session titled "Helping Hoarders"
at the 2007 conference and was a featured panelist at the 2006 conference.
Collaborates with NAPO members to help many clients.
BERGFELD's has presented seminars on elder hoarding at the National Joint
Conference of the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the Association
on Aging (ASA) from 2005 - 2007.
We were selected by ASA executives to be in the Leaders Circle of the
BFA (Business Forum on Aging), a constituent group of the ASA, as an expert
in elder "hoarders" and estate clearance.
The SSA is an organizational member of the ASA. Together with the NYS
legislature, they are spearheading Project
2015, a statewide plan for the future of eldercare. BERGFELD's
is contributing as advocates of protecting elders from estate clearance
fraud and by helping elders who hoard to remain in their homes.
NYC Hoarding Task Force

One of the few hoarding task forces nationally, BERGFELD's is the sole private business on the task force which includes public officials (Adult Protective Services, Dept. for the Aging, NYC Housing) as wellas MD's, MSW's, CSW's, and academic scholars. NYC Task Force
BERGFELD's presented a seminar on hoarding at the annual housing
conference in 2005 and returned to the conference on November 12, 2006
with a seminar entitled "Coping With Hoarding Problems"
BERGFELD's was the subject of an article in the March/April 2007 edition of ARCSI News.
Affiliations
BERGFELD's is an ongoing business sponsor of the annual conference of
the Greater NY Chapter of the NAPGCM (National Association of Professional
Geriatric Care Managers).
